Job Description
Are you a high school student looking for a great part-time opportunity to earn money on weekends? Amazon Logistics in Kailua, HI is seeking enthusiastic and reliable Part-time High School Delivery Helpers. This entry-level position is perfect for individuals who are energetic, enjoy being active, and want to contribute to our mission of fast and efficient delivery. No driver’s license is required for this role as you will be assisting our drivers and making deliveries on foot for short distances within designated areas. This is a fantastic chance to gain valuable work experience with a global leader!
Key Responsibilities
- Assist delivery drivers with loading and unloading packages from delivery vehicles.
- Deliver packages on foot to residential and business addresses within short walking distances.
- Verify accurate package delivery and obtain signatures when required.
- Maintain a professional and friendly demeanor with customers and colleagues.
- Follow all safety guidelines and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Help organize packages within the vehicle for efficient delivery routes.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work independently and as an effective team member.
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in high school or a recent high school graduate.
- Familiarity with the Kailua area and surrounding neighborhoods.
- Previous experience in a customer service or physical labor role is a plus.
