Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and professional Weekend Tour Bus Driver to join our team for part-time regional travel. This role is perfect for individuals passionate about driving and providing excellent customer service, with a focus on weekend assignments. As a Tour Bus Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting passengers on various regional tours, ensuring their comfort and enjoyment throughout the journey. You will operate modern motorcoaches, adhere to strict safety regulations, and represent Windstar Lines with professionalism and a friendly demeanor. If you have a clean driving record, a valid CDL, and a desire to explore the beautiful regional landscapes while connecting with people, we encourage you to apply.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a motorcoach for scheduled regional tours on weekends, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, reporting any maintenance needs or issues promptly.
- Assist passengers with boarding, disembarking, and luggage handling, ensuring a positive and accessible experience for all.
- Maintain a professional and friendly demeanor, providing excellent customer service and responding to passenger inquiries.
- Adhere to planned routes and schedules, adapting to unforeseen circumstances while maintaining passenger comfort and safety.
- Keep the interior of the bus clean and tidy throughout the tour.
- Complete all necessary paperwork, including logbooks, manifests, and inspection reports, accurately and on time.
Required Skills
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Passenger (P) endorsement.
- Clean driving record for the past 3-5 years, free of major violations.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety and adherence to DOT regulations.
- Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Physical ability to assist passengers with luggage and perform vehicle inspections.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience driving tour buses or large passenger vehicles.
- Knowledge of regional attractions and routes within Kansas and surrounding states.
- Ability to perform minor vehicle adjustments or troubleshoot basic mechanical issues.
- First Aid and CPR certification.
