Job Description

We are seeking enthusiastic and customer-focused individuals to join our team as Part-time Passenger Service Agents for our weekend operations at the Sioux Falls Aviation Hub. In this vital role, you will be the first point of contact for many of our travelers, providing essential support and assistance to ensure a smooth and pleasant travel experience. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking for flexible weekend work in a fast-paced airport environment, with a focus on delivering world-class service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet and assist passengers with check-in procedures, including baggage handling and seat assignments.
  • Provide accurate information regarding flight schedules, boarding gates, and airport services.
  • Process passenger documents, including tickets, boarding passes, and identification.
  • Handle passenger inquiries, resolve issues, and provide solutions in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Assist passengers with special needs, including unaccompanied minors, passengers requiring wheelchairs, and those needing language assistance.
  • Ensure compliance with all airline safety and security procedures.
  • Operate airport equipment as needed, such as check-in kiosks and gate scanners.
  • Work collaboratively with airline crew, ground staff, and airport personnel to maintain efficient operations.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Required Skills

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong customer service orientation with a positive and helpful attitude.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
  • Flexibility to work weekend shifts (Saturdays and Sundays).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a customer service role, preferably in the aviation or hospitality industry.
  • Knowledge of an additional language.
  • Familiarity with airport operations and procedures.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain an airport security badge.
