Job Description
Are you a skilled Shopify Developer looking for flexible contract opportunities with weekly payouts? Bold Commerce is seeking talented independent contractors to join our network, contributing to diverse and exciting Shopify projects. This role is perfect for developers who thrive on variety, enjoy solving complex e-commerce challenges, and value the freedom of setting their own schedule. You will be instrumental in designing, developing, and maintaining custom Shopify themes and apps, integrating third-party solutions, and ensuring optimal performance and user experience for our clients’ stores.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and customize Shopify themes (Liquid, HTML, CSS, JavaScript) to meet client specifications.
- Implement and configure Shopify apps and third-party integrations.
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
- Ensure cross-browser compatibility and responsiveness of web designs.
- Optimize Shopify stores for speed and SEO best practices.
- Collaborate with project managers and designers to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Provide technical support and troubleshoot issues for deployed Shopify stores.
- Stay updated with the latest Shopify platform features and best practices.
Required Skills
- Expertise in Shopify theme development using Liquid, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript (ES6+)
- Strong understanding of Shopify's API (Storefront, Admin)
- Proficiency with version control systems (Git)
- Experience with responsive design and mobile-first development
- Ability to debug and optimize web performance
- Familiarity with modern front-end frameworks and tools
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience building custom Shopify apps (using Ruby on Rails, Node.js, or similar)
- Knowledge of SEO principles and implementation in Shopify
- Familiarity with headless commerce architectures
- Experience with agile development methodologies
- Strong communication and client-facing skills
