Job Description
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Online Virtual Assistant with an administrative focus to support our programs specifically designed for 15-year-old teens. This fully remote role involves managing communications, scheduling, content organization, and providing general administrative support to ensure the smooth operation of our online educational initiatives and community engagement efforts geared towards young learners. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about technology and education, possess excellent communication skills, and be adept at managing multiple tasks in a virtual environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and organize online communication channels (e.g., email, forums, chat platforms) related to teen programs.
- Schedule and coordinate virtual workshops, events, and mentorship sessions for 15-year-old participants.
- Assist in the preparation and distribution of digital educational materials and resources.
- Maintain and update databases or tracking systems for program participants and volunteers.
- Monitor and moderate online community forums, ensuring a safe and positive environment for teens.
- Provide administrative support for content creation, including formatting documents and uploading resources.
- Gather and compile feedback from teen participants to inform program improvements.
- Perform general administrative tasks as needed to support the educational team.
Required Skills
- Proficiency with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Calendar) and virtual communication tools (e.g., Zoom, Slack).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team setting.
- High level of discretion and professionalism when interacting with sensitive information and minors.
- Prior experience in administrative support or virtual assistance.
- Familiarity with online learning platforms or community management.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with youth or in an educational setting, particularly with high school-aged individuals.
- Knowledge or interest in STEM fields, electronics, or open-source hardware.
- Basic understanding of content management systems (CMS).
- Experience with project management tools (e.g., Trello, Asana).
