Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Apple Compliance Officer with a strong regulatory focus to join our global compliance team. This is a 100% remote position. In this critical role, you will be responsible for ensuring our operations, particularly those involving Apple platforms, devices, and associated technologies, adhere strictly to global financial regulations, data privacy laws, and internal policies. You will work closely with our technology, legal, and business units to identify, assess, and mitigate compliance risks related to the Apple ecosystem within our enterprise environment. Your expertise will be vital in navigating the complex landscape of technological advancement and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain compliance policies and procedures specifically related to the use of Apple platforms and devices (iOS, macOS, Apple Pay, MDM solutions, etc.) within the firm.
- Monitor and interpret new and evolving regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, FCA, SEC) and assess their impact on our use of Apple technologies and data handling.
- Conduct risk assessments and compliance reviews of internal systems and applications utilizing Apple frameworks, identifying potential vulnerabilities and recommending remedial actions.
- Advise technology and business teams on best practices for integrating Apple technologies in a compliant manner, ensuring data security, privacy, and regulatory adherence.
- Collaborate with legal counsel to ensure all Apple-related technology initiatives comply with relevant laws and contractual obligations.
- Lead or participate in internal audits and external regulatory examinations pertaining to technology and data compliance, particularly concerning Apple infrastructure.
- Provide training and guidance to employees on compliance policies and procedures related to mobile device usage, data handling, and information security on Apple devices.
- Stay abreast of Apple's platform updates, security features, and privacy enhancements, assessing their implications for the firm's compliance posture.
- Manage and respond to compliance inquiries and investigations related to Apple technologies.
- Document compliance activities, findings, and remediation efforts comprehensively.
Required Skills
- 5+ years of experience in a compliance, legal, or risk management role within a regulated industry (preferably financial services or technology).
- In-depth understanding of global regulatory frameworks such as GDPR, CCPA, SOX, FCA, SEC regulations.
- Demonstrable knowledge of Apple's operating systems (iOS, macOS), security features, and enterprise management tools (MDM).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex regulations and apply them to technological solutions.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, remote environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Law, Finance, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant compliance certifications (e.g., CAMS, CIPP/E, CISM).
- Experience with mobile device forensics or security analysis.
- Familiarity with cloud security principles and data governance.
- Master's degree or JD.
