Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical Private Equity & Venture Capital Intern with a focus on deal sourcing to join our dynamic team in Bexley. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the private equity and venture capital space, working alongside seasoned professionals on various aspects of the investment lifecycle. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in identifying potential investment opportunities, conducting market research, and supporting our deal teams. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth market research to identify potential investment opportunities within Apax Partners' target sectors.
- Utilize various databases and networking tools to proactively source new deal leads and build a pipeline of prospects.
- Assist in the initial screening and evaluation of investment proposals, including financial analysis and business model assessment.
- Prepare concise summaries and presentations on market trends, company profiles, and potential investment theses.
- Support the due diligence process by gathering relevant data and assisting with information requests.
- Contribute to the development of sector-specific investment themes and market maps.
- Attend industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to expand market intelligence and build relationships.
Required Skills
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, including financial modeling basics.
- Excellent research and data synthesis capabilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated interest in private equity, venture capital, and financial markets.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- High level of proactivity, intellectual curiosity, and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.
- Previous internship experience in investment banking, private equity, venture capital, or consulting.
- Familiarity with financial databases such as Capital IQ, PitchBook, or Bloomberg.
- Understanding of deal sourcing methodologies and CRM systems.
