Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine checks and basic maintenance tasks on company vehicles, including fuel levels, fluid checks, and interior/exterior cleanliness.
- Assist in the loading and unloading of packages, freight, and other materials from vehicles and sorting areas, ensuring proper handling and placement.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the vehicle fleet, service areas, and facility grounds.
- Support delivery drivers and other operational staff with various tasks as needed, contributing to overall team efficiency.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, including those related to vehicle operation, lifting, and facility maintenance.
- Report any vehicle damage, maintenance needs, or safety concerns to appropriate supervisory personnel promptly.
- Operate basic material handling equipment (e.g., pallet jacks) as required, after proper training.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and move packages weighing up to 75 lbs. regularly.
- Possession of a valid state driver's license and a clean driving record, or the ability to obtain one.
- Basic communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact effectively with team members and supervisors.
- Demonstrated reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, physical environment.
- A team player attitude with a willingness to learn and contribute.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous experience in a physically demanding role, warehousing, or general labor.
- Familiarity with basic vehicle maintenance or logistics operations.
