Job Description
Join Netflix as a Content Tagger and play a crucial role in enhancing our user experience by accurately categorizing and describing our vast library of movies, TV shows, and documentaries. This position requires meticulous attention to detail, a strong understanding of various media genres, and the ability to apply consistent metadata standards. You will work within a dedicated team to ensure that our content is discoverable and appropriately recommended to our members globally. This is an on-site role based in our Overland Park office, offering an opportunity to contribute directly to how millions discover their next favorite story.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and categorize new and existing Netflix content across a wide range of genres and formats.
- Apply detailed metadata tags, keywords, and descriptors to content, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
- Identify and tag content based on themes, moods, cultural references, and other relevant attributes.
- Collaborate with content operations, product, and data science teams to refine tagging methodologies and standards.
- Stay updated on content trends, cultural nuances, and evolving audience preferences to inform tagging decisions.
- Participate in quality control and auditing processes to maintain high standards of content categorization.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of internal tagging tools and workflows.

Preferred Qualifications

- 1+ years of experience in content tagging, metadata management, or library science, preferably in the entertainment industry.
- Familiarity with various media formats and content delivery platforms.
- Experience with international content and understanding of diverse cultural contexts.
- Fluency in additional languages beyond English.
