Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Image Segmentation Specialist with a passion for robotics to join our innovative team. This 100% remote position focuses on developing and implementing advanced image segmentation algorithms crucial for enabling robotic perception and interaction with complex environments. You will play a key role in designing, training, and validating models that allow our robots to accurately understand and interpret visual data. Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and optimize image segmentation algorithms for various robotic applications.
- Curate, annotate, and manage large datasets for training and validation of deep learning models.
- Collaborate with robotics engineers and researchers to integrate segmentation models into existing systems.
- Evaluate model performance, identify limitations, and propose solutions for continuous improvement.
- Stay abreast of the latest research and advancements in computer vision, deep learning, and robotics.
- Participate in code reviews, documentation, and maintaining best practices for reproducible research.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in Python and deep learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch).
- Strong understanding of image segmentation techniques (e.g., U-Net, Mask R-CNN) and their applications.
- Experience with computer vision libraries (e.g., OpenCV, scikit-image).
- Solid foundation in linear algebra, calculus, and probability.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with GPU-accelerated computing (CUDA).
- Familiarity with robotic operating systems (ROS) and simulation environments.
- Prior experience in real-world robotics projects or deployments.
- Knowledge of 3D vision and point cloud processing.
- Publications in top-tier computer vision or robotics conferences/journals.
