Job Description
As a Shopify Launch Specialist, you will be instrumental in helping new businesses establish their online presence and existing businesses migrate to the Shopify platform. You will guide clients through the entire setup process, from initial store configuration and theme customization to product data import, payment gateway integration, and launch strategy. This role requires a meticulous eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and a passion for empowering businesses with robust e-commerce solutions. You will work closely with clients, project managers, and development teams to ensure seamless and successful store launches.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end setup and configuration of new Shopify stores, including theme selection, customization, and app integration.
- Assist clients with product data migration, inventory management setup, and collection organization.
- Configure payment gateways, shipping zones, tax settings, and other essential store functionalities.
- Provide training and ongoing support to clients on managing their Shopify store, orders, and products.
- Collaborate with design and development teams to implement advanced customizations and features.
- Ensure all launch checklists are completed and stores are optimized for performance and SEO best practices.
- Conduct quality assurance and user acceptance testing prior to launch.
- Stay up-to-date with Shopify platform updates, new features, and e-commerce trends.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in setting up and configuring Shopify stores from scratch.
- Strong understanding of Shopify's core functionalities, themes, apps, and liquid templating.
- Familiarity with e-commerce best practices, payment gateways, and shipping solutions.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple client projects simultaneously.
- Exceptional communication and client-facing skills.
- Problem-solving aptitude and a proactive approach to troubleshooting.
- Proficiency with Google Suite or Microsoft Office.
Preferred Qualifications
- Shopify Partner or Shopify Expert certification.
- Experience with other e-commerce platforms (e.g., Magento, WooCommerce).
- Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Experience working in a digital agency or consultancy environment.
- Knowledge of SEO principles and digital marketing strategies.
