Job Description
Join the TaskRabbit platform as a Mobile Tasker specializing in Assembly and Errand services. This role is perfect for individuals who enjoy hands-on work, have excellent problem-solving skills, and thrive on providing reliable support to clients in their community. While our platform operates across Canada, this opportunity focuses on connecting you with clients in the Ottawa region, specifically Centretown and surrounding areas. As a Tasker, you’ll manage your own schedule, choose your tasks, and get paid for helping others. You’ll be responsible for a variety of services, including furniture assembly, mounting, minor repairs, personal shopping, delivery, and other essential errands.
Key Responsibilities
- Accept and complete assigned assembly tasks such as furniture, shelving, and exercise equipment.
- Perform various errand services including grocery shopping, package delivery, and dry cleaning pickup/drop-off.
- Communicate professionally and promptly with clients to understand their needs and provide updates.
- Manage your own schedule and task bookings efficiently through the TaskRabbit app.
- Ensure timely arrival at client locations and completion of tasks to high standards.
- Handle tools and equipment safely and effectively.
- Provide exceptional customer service and resolve any issues that may arise during a task.
Required Skills
- Proficiency with common hand and power tools for assembly tasks.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliability and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
- Access to reliable transportation (vehicle, bicycle, or public transit) for errands and task completion.
- Smartphone with internet access to use the TaskRabbit app.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in assembly, handyman services, or a similar field.
- Familiarity with various furniture brands and assembly instructions.
- A valid driver's license and access to a personal vehicle.
- Customer service experience.
