Job Description
Rotherham Golf Club is seeking a diligent and reliable Golf Cart Fleet Washer to join our dedicated team. This is an essential role in maintaining the high standards of our club, ensuring our fleet of golf carts is always impeccably clean and ready for member and guest use. You will be responsible for the thorough cleaning, basic inspection, and light maintenance of our electric and petrol golf carts, contributing directly to the positive experience of everyone who visits our course. This is an on-site position based at our club in Rotherham, South Yorkshire.
Key Responsibilities
- Thoroughly wash and clean the exterior and interior of all golf carts in the fleet.
- Vacuum floors, wipe down seats, and clean dashboards.
- Inspect carts for any visible damage, low tire pressure, or mechanical issues and report findings to management.
- Ensure all carts are properly charged (electric carts) or fueled (petrol carts) at the end of each shift.
- Organize and maintain the cleanliness of the wash bay area and equipment.
- Assist with the movement and staging of golf carts as needed.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures during operation and cleaning.
Required Skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness.
- Physical stamina to stand, bend, and lift during shifts.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Valid UK driving license (preferred, but not strictly essential if only moving carts within the premises).
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a cleaning or maintenance role.
- Familiarity with golf cart operation or basic vehicle maintenance.
- An interest in golf or country club environments.
