Job Description
Are you an early riser with a passion for fresh produce and community markets? Planet Organic is looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Farmers Market Stall Setup Helper to join our team for weekend shifts. This role is crucial in ensuring our market stall is beautifully presented, fully stocked, and ready to welcome customers at local farmers’ markets. You’ll be involved in the physical setup, display of products, and packing down, contributing to a vibrant and engaging market experience. This is a hands-on role perfect for someone who enjoys physical work, early mornings, and being part of a dynamic team.
Key Responsibilities
- Arrive promptly at the market location for early morning setup.
- Unload market stall equipment, products, and display materials from company vehicle.
- Efficiently and aesthetically set up market stall, including tables, signage, and product displays.
- Arrange fresh produce, packaged goods, and other products attractively.
- Assist with stock rotation and ensuring product quality throughout market hours.
- Interact courteously with customers and team members.
- Dismantle the stall and pack all equipment and remaining products securely at the end of the market.
- Maintain a clean and tidy work area.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and carry heavy items (up to 20kg) and perform physical tasks.
- Reliable with excellent time-keeping, especially for early morning starts.
- Strong work ethic and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced outdoor environment.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Excellent communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in retail, market stalls, or event setup is a plus but not required.
- An interest in organic food, sustainability, or local produce.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a small team.
