Job Description

IKEA is seeking a dedicated Playroom Storage Organizer to join our team in Clarendon Park, Leicester. In this role, you will work directly with families to transform chaotic playrooms into well-structured environments that promote creativity, reduce stress, and bring happiness to both kids and parents. You will design and implement smart storage solutions, ensuring every toy has its place and every activity is easily accessible. This is a hands-on role requiring empathy, creativity, and excellent organizational skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct in-home consultations with families to assess playroom organization needs and challenges.
- Design customized storage and organization plans tailored to each family's unique space, budget, and children's ages.
- Implement organization systems, including sorting, decluttering, labeling, and arranging items.
- Utilize IKEA products and solutions to maximize space efficiency and aesthetic appeal in playrooms.
- Educate parents on maintaining organizational systems and fostering independent play through an organized environment.
- Provide recommendations for child-friendly furniture, storage, and play-enhancement items.
- Manage project timelines, communicate progress, and ensure client satisfaction from start to finish.
- Stay updated on best practices in child development, play-based learning, and home organization trends.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in home organization or interior design, particularly with children's spaces.
- Exceptional organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients.
- Creative flair and an understanding of aesthetic principles.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects effectively.
- Proficiency in basic design tools or space planning software (e.g., SketchUp, CAD is a plus).
- Physical ability to lift and move objects, and to work on your feet for extended periods.
