Job Description

We are urgently seeking enthusiastic and reliable individuals to join our Kitchen & Counter Crew across multiple Greggs locations, with a key focus on our vibrant Northern Quarter branch in Manchester. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals looking to start or advance their career in the fast-paced food service industry. As a crucial part of our team, you will be responsible for preparing delicious food, maintaining a clean and efficient kitchen, and providing friendly, speedy service to our valued customers. We have immediate openings and are looking for candidates who are eager to learn, work well in a team, and thrive in a busy environment. Full training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and bake a variety of products according to Greggs' standards and recipes.
  • Serve customers efficiently and courteously, handling transactions accurately.
  • Maintain high standards of food hygiene and cleanliness in all kitchen and counter areas.
  • Assist with stock rotation, deliveries, and inventory checks.
  • Operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively.
  • Ensure all food safety and health and safety regulations are adhered to.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth operations.
  • Handle customer queries and resolve issues professionally.
  • Support store management in achieving sales targets and operational goals.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a food service or retail environment
  • Basic Food Hygiene Certificate (Level 1 or 2)
  • Experience operating a till or POS system
