Job Description
We are urgently seeking enthusiastic and reliable individuals to join our Kitchen & Counter Crew across multiple Greggs locations, with a key focus on our vibrant Northern Quarter branch in Manchester. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals looking to start or advance their career in the fast-paced food service industry. As a crucial part of our team, you will be responsible for preparing delicious food, maintaining a clean and efficient kitchen, and providing friendly, speedy service to our valued customers. We have immediate openings and are looking for candidates who are eager to learn, work well in a team, and thrive in a busy environment. Full training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and bake a variety of products according to Greggs' standards and recipes.
- Serve customers efficiently and courteously, handling transactions accurately.
- Maintain high standards of food hygiene and cleanliness in all kitchen and counter areas.
- Assist with stock rotation, deliveries, and inventory checks.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively.
- Ensure all food safety and health and safety regulations are adhered to.
- Work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth operations.
- Handle customer queries and resolve issues professionally.
- Support store management in achieving sales targets and operational goals.
Required Skills

- Excellent reliability and punctuality
- Basic numeracy and literacy for handling transactions and recipes
- Ability to work early mornings, evenings, and weekends as required
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a food service or retail environment
- Basic Food Hygiene Certificate (Level 1 or 2)
- Experience operating a till or POS system
