Job Description
Are you meticulous, detail-oriented, and passionate about geographical accuracy? As a Remote City Map GPS Verifier, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the precision and reliability of TomTom’s industry-leading maps and navigation data. This 100% remote position involves systematically reviewing and verifying geographical information, road networks, points of interest, and other map features against various sources, including satellite imagery, user feedback, and internal databases. Your sharp eye will help us maintain the high quality of our products, ensuring that millions of users reach their destinations accurately and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough verification of map data, including street names, addresses, speed limits, points of interest, and routing instructions.
- Utilize proprietary mapping tools and software to identify and correct discrepancies in GPS and geographical information.
- Cross-reference data with satellite imagery, street-level views, and other reference materials.
- Document findings and provide clear, concise feedback to the mapping development teams.
- Adhere to strict quality control standards and verification protocols.
- Participate in training sessions to stay updated on new mapping features and verification techniques.
- Manage workload efficiently and meet daily/weekly verification targets while working independently.
