Key Responsibilities

  • Safely transport patients, often on beds, trolleys, or in wheelchairs, to and from wards, departments, and operating theatres.
  • Move medical equipment, samples, specimens, and patient notes between various hospital areas.
  • Collect and deliver mail, pharmacy items, and linen.
  • Assist with the movement of supplies, including oxygen cylinders, waste, and confidential materials.
  • Maintain cleanliness and tidiness in designated areas and ensure equipment is stored appropriately.
  • Communicate effectively and with empathy to patients, visitors, and staff members.
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations and infection control policies.
  • Participate actively in all aspects of the apprenticeship training programme.

Preferred Qualifications
