Job Description

As a Google Sentiment Guru, you will play a critical role in understanding public perception and market sentiment towards Google’s products, services, and brand. This 100% remote position requires an expert in market research methodologies, particularly those focused on sentiment analysis, to provide deep insights that inform strategic decision-making across various departments. You will leverage cutting-edge tools and techniques to monitor, analyze, and interpret vast amounts of data, translating complex findings into clear, actionable recommendations for product development, marketing campaigns, and brand reputation management. Your work will directly influence how Google understands and responds to user and market feedback globally.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive sentiment analysis on various data sources, including social media, news, user reviews, and forum discussions.
  • Develop and implement advanced market research methodologies and models to uncover nuanced sentiment trends and patterns.
  • Translate complex data insights into clear, concise, and actionable recommendations for product teams, marketing, and leadership.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, and data scientists, to integrate sentiment insights into strategic planning.
  • Monitor real-time sentiment shifts and provide proactive alerts and reports on potential brand risks or opportunities.
  • Stay abreast of the latest trends and technologies in sentiment analysis, natural language processing (NLP), and market research.
  • Design and execute research projects to explore specific sentiment-related questions and hypotheses.

Required Skills

  • Proven expertise in sentiment analysis tools and techniques (e.g., text analytics, opinion mining).
  • Strong background in market research methodologies, data collection, and statistical analysis.
  • Proficiency in data visualization tools and presenting complex data insights effectively.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, remote environment.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with large datasets and database querying (SQL).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree or PhD in a related field (e.g., Marketing Research, Data Science, Psychology, Sociology).
  • Familiarity with Google's product ecosystem and internal data analysis tools.
