Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Member Service Representative to join our Garland branch. This role is crucial in delivering outstanding service to our members, assisting them with their financial needs, and promoting our credit union’s products and services. You will be the front-line representative, building relationships and ensuring a positive experience for every member. This on-site position offers an excellent opportunity to grow within the financial services industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process member transactions accurately and efficiently, including deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and transfers.
  • Open new accounts, certificates, and other financial products for members.
  • Address member inquiries, resolve issues, and provide information on credit union services via phone, in-person, and online channels.
  • Identify member needs and cross-sell appropriate credit union products and services, such as loans, credit cards, and investment options.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of all credit union products, services, policies, and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal and state regulations, as well as credit union policies.
  • Balance cash drawer daily and adhere to all security procedures.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with members, fostering a sense of trust and loyalty.

Required Skills

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 1 year of customer service experience, preferably in a financial institution.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications and ability to learn new software quickly.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial transactions.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
  • A genuine desire to help people and provide exceptional service.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.
  • Previous experience as a teller or Member Service Representative.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills are a plus.
