Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Wellness Center Janitor to join our team in St. John’s. This evening position is ideal for individuals who thrive in a quiet environment and take pride in maintaining immaculate facilities. You will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and sanitation of our wellness center, contributing to a pleasant and hygienic space for all users. This role requires attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work independently during evening hours.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform general cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and waxing floors.
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, locker rooms, and shower areas.
- Empty trash receptacles and transport waste to designated disposal areas.
- Clean windows, glass surfaces, and mirrors.
- Dust and wipe down surfaces, including walls, furniture, and equipment.
- Restock supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper.
- Monitor cleaning supplies and equipment, notifying management when replenishment is needed.
- Follow all health and safety regulations and guidelines.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to supervisors.
- Maintain a quiet and respectful presence during cleaning hours.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and carry cleaning equipment and supplies.
- Knowledge of basic cleaning techniques and safety procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and thoroughness.
- Reliability and punctuality.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a janitorial or custodial role, preferably within a healthcare or wellness facility.
