Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain data management policies and procedures to ensure data quality, integrity, and compliance.
- Oversee data collection, storage, and retrieval processes, ensuring efficiency and security.
- Perform regular data audits and clean-up activities to identify and resolve inconsistencies and errors.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and provide data-driven solutions.
- Support the development and maintenance of data dictionaries, metadata, and data lineage documentation.
- Implement and monitor data security measures, ensuring adherence to data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, PIPEDA).
- Generate reports and dashboards to provide insights into data quality and usage metrics.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in data management, data governance, or data quality roles.
- Proficiency with database management systems (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL).
- Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
- Familiarity with data governance frameworks and best practices.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a remote setting.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Knowledge of scripting languages like Python or R for data manipulation and analysis.
- Certification in data management (e.g., CDMP) or related technologies.
