Job Description

Are you a night owl looking for a dynamic part-time role that offers premium pay for weekend nights? Publix in New Port Richey is seeking a dedicated Night Fill Assistant to join our team. This vital role ensures our shelves are fully stocked and impeccably organized for our morning customers. You’ll work in a fast-paced environment, contributing directly to our store’s success and customer satisfaction, all while enjoying the benefits of a weekend night schedule and premium pay.

Key Responsibilities

  • Unload and sort incoming merchandise from delivery trucks.
  • Stock shelves, coolers, and freezers efficiently and accurately according to planograms.
  • Rotate products to ensure freshness and minimize waste.
  • Maintain a clean and organized stockroom and sales floor throughout the shift.
  • Operate equipment such as pallet jacks and hand trucks safely (training provided).
  • Assist with inventory counts and manage product displays.
  • Adhere to all safety and sanitation guidelines.

Required Skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Physical stamina: ability to lift heavy items (up to 50 lbs), bend, stoop, climb ladders, and stand for extended periods.
  • Reliability and punctuality, especially for night shifts.
  • Availability to work weekend nights and holidays as required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a retail or warehouse environment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience with inventory management systems.
