Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and efficient Warehouse Sorter to join our dynamic team in Sheffield. This is a fast-paced, hands-on role perfect for individuals who thrive in an active environment and are committed to accuracy and efficiency. As a Warehouse Sorter, you will be responsible for the meticulous sorting and processing of packages and products, contributing directly to our mission of delivering smiles to our customers. No phone calls required – we focus on getting the job done ‘subito’ (immediately) and with precision.
Key Responsibilities
- Efficiently sort packages, parcels, and products by destination, category, or other criteria.
- Operate scanning equipment to track inventory and package movement.
- Load and unload materials from conveyors and pallets.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Identify and report any damaged items or discrepancies.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth workflow and meet daily targets.
- Perform repetitive tasks accurately and with speed in a fast-paced setting.
Required Skills
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Capable of lifting and moving packages up to 23 kg (50 lbs) regularly.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Reliability and excellent attendance record.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.
- Basic literacy skills to read labels and follow instructions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics setting is a plus.
- Familiarity with scanning technology or inventory management systems.
- Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing priorities and workloads.
