Job Description
We are actively seeking a dedicated and proactive FedEx Freight Support Associate to join our team in Santa Ana, CA. This immediate hire position is crucial for maintaining the smooth operation of our freight services. As a Support Associate, you will be the backbone of our operational team, providing essential administrative and customer service support to ensure timely and accurate freight movement. You will interact with customers, drivers, and internal departments, ensuring all inquiries are resolved efficiently and professionally. Key Responsibilities
- Provide front-line customer service, responding to inquiries regarding shipments, tracking, and billing.
- Assist with freight documentation, including bill of lading, manifests, and customs forms.
- Coordinate with drivers and dispatch to ensure timely pickups and deliveries.
- Enter and maintain accurate data in the company's transportation management system.
- Resolve service issues and escalate complex problems to appropriate personnel.
- Process claims and adjust invoices as needed, following company protocols.
- Support terminal operations by preparing reports and managing office supplies.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and other departments to achieve operational goals.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a dynamic environment.
- Problem-solving capabilities and a customer-focused approach.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in logistics, transportation, or customer service.
- Familiarity with freight terminology and processes.
- Experience with transportation management systems (TMS).
- Associate’s degree or higher in a related field.
