Job Description

We are seeking enthusiastic and reliable 15-year-old teens to join our team as a Laundry Aide. This part-time position offers a valuable opportunity to gain entry-level work experience in a supportive healthcare environment. As a Laundry Aide, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a clean, comfortable, and hygienic setting for our residents. This involves assisting with the sorting, washing, drying, folding, and distribution of linens and personal clothing items, ensuring all laundry standards are met.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sort soiled linens, garments, and other textile items according to established procedures.
  • Load and unload commercial washing machines and dryers efficiently and safely.
  • Fold, stack, and organize clean laundry items, preparing them for distribution.
  • Deliver clean linens and personal clothing to designated resident rooms and common areas.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry room and equipment.
  • Report any equipment malfunctions or supply shortages to immediate supervisor.
  • Adhere to all safety and sanitation protocols, including infection control guidelines.
  • Assist in maintaining inventory of laundry supplies.
  • Follow all company policies and procedures.
  • Work cooperatively with other team members to ensure smooth operations.

Required Skills

  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Reliable and punctual.
  • Basic understanding of hygiene and cleanliness.
  • Ability to perform tasks independently and as part of a team.
  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Capable of standing, walking, bending, and lifting moderate weights (up to 20 lbs) for extended periods.
