Job Description
Are you an enthusiastic esthetics student looking for a dynamic, multi-skilled training opportunity that offers college credits? Le Nordik Spa-Nature invites you to join our team as an Esthetics Student Trainee. This unique internship is designed to provide comprehensive hands-on experience across various spa operations, allowing you to apply your classroom knowledge in a real-world, luxury spa environment. You will work closely with experienced professionals, learn diverse esthetic techniques, understand spa management, and contribute to delivering an exceptional guest experience, all while earning valuable college credits.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist licensed estheticians with a variety of treatments, including facials, manicures, pedicures, and body treatments.
- Prepare treatment rooms, ensuring all equipment is sanitized and supplies are stocked.
- Greet and escort guests, providing excellent customer service and ensuring their comfort.
- Learn and practice proper sanitation and sterilization procedures for all tools and equipment.
- Support front desk operations, including booking appointments and handling guest inquiries.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of treatment areas, common spaces, and back-of-house facilities.
- Observe and participate in inventory management and ordering processes for esthetic supplies.
- Shadow and learn from other departments within the spa, such as massage therapy or guest services, to gain a holistic understanding of spa operations.
- Actively participate in training sessions and continuous learning opportunities.
- Adhere to all spa policies, procedures, and health and safety regulations.
Required Skills
- Currently enrolled in an accredited Esthetics or Cosmetology program.
- Basic understanding of esthetic principles and practices.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Eagerness to learn and a proactive attitude.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Reliable and punctual with a professional demeanor.
- Ability to commit to the required hours for college credit fulfillment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous customer service experience, ideally in a hospitality or service-oriented setting.
- Bilingualism (French and English) is a significant asset.
- Familiarity with luxury spa environments or a passion for wellness.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
