Job Description

Join Meta Platforms as an Online Content Moderator specializing in Health content, based in our Swansea office. In this vital role, you will be on the front lines, reviewing user-generated content to ensure compliance with our Community Standards, specifically focusing on policies related to health and well-being. This includes assessing sensitive topics such as medical misinformation, harmful health advice, self-harm, and eating disorders. Your work directly contributes to safeguarding our global community and maintaining a trusted, healthy online environment for billions of users worldwide. We are looking for individuals with a strong sense of empathy, excellent judgment, and a commitment to upholding our platform’s integrity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and moderate user-generated content, focusing on health-related topics, to ensure compliance with Meta's Community Standards and policies.
  • Make critical decisions on content that may violate policies, including medical misinformation, self-harm, graphic content, and other sensitive health topics.
  • Apply deep understanding of policy guidelines to accurately classify and take appropriate action on reported content.
  • Escalate complex or ambiguous cases to senior moderators or policy teams as needed.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of moderation processes and policy guidelines by providing feedback and insights.
  • Maintain high levels of productivity and quality while handling a large volume of content.
  • Collaborate with team members and cross-functional partners to ensure consistency and effectiveness in moderation.
  • Protect user privacy and confidentiality in all moderation activities.

  • Strong ability to analyze and interpret complex policy guidelines.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in content moderation, customer service, or a related field involving policy enforcement.
  • Background or interest in public health, psychology, sociology, or related human sciences.
  • Familiarity with Meta platforms and Community Standards.
  • Additional language skills are a plus, particularly those relevant to Meta's global user base.
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to fast-paced, evolving environments.
