Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Emergency Management Trainee to join our Disaster Response team in Coatbridge, Scotland. This entry-level position is perfect for individuals passionate about humanitarian aid and eager to develop skills in emergency preparedness, response, and recovery. You will receive comprehensive training and hands-on experience, working alongside experienced professionals to support communities affected by emergencies, from local incidents to wider disaster responses. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the coordination and implementation of local emergency response activities under supervision.
  • Support the logistics of disaster relief efforts, including resource management and distribution.

  • Help maintain emergency equipment and supplies, ensuring they are ready for deployment.
  • Learn and adhere to all British Red Cross policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
  • Contribute to community engagement and awareness programmes related to emergency preparedness.
  • Document incidents, actions taken, and lessons learned to support ongoing improvement.
  • Provide administrative support to the disaster response team as needed.
