Job Description
We are seeking a reliable and professional 7.5 Tonne Driver to join our busy Coventry depot. This is a full-time, permanent position with an immediate start, working Monday to Friday. You will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery and collection of parcels to and from various locations, ensuring excellent customer service at all times. If you possess your C1 licence, CPC, and digital tachograph card, and are looking for a stable role with a reputable company, we encourage you to apply.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a 7.5 tonne vehicle for deliveries and collections.
- Perform daily vehicle checks and maintain vehicle cleanliness.
- Ensure all parcels are delivered on time and in excellent condition.
- Interact with customers in a professional and courteous manner.
- Accurately complete all necessary paperwork and use hand-held scanning devices.
- Adhere to all road transport regulations and company policies.
- Load and unload the vehicle safely and efficiently, ensuring correct weight distribution.
Required Skills
- Valid UK C1 driving licence.
- Valid Driver CPC qualification.
- Valid Digital Tachograph card.
- Minimum of 1 year experience driving 7.5 tonne vehicles commercially.
- Good geographical knowledge of the Coventry and surrounding areas.
- Ability to lift and handle parcels, some of which may be heavy.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- A strong understanding of driving regulations and health and safety procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
- Clean driving licence (minor endorsements considered).
- Previous experience with multi-drop deliveries.
- Familiarity with route planning software.
