Job Description

We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and passionate individual for a Gaming Data Entry position with a specialized focus on Level and Character Data. In this role, you will be crucial in ensuring the accuracy and consistency of our game’s core data, directly impacting player experience and game balance. Your work will involve meticulously entering, verifying, and maintaining vast amounts of information related to game levels, character attributes, abilities, items, and progression systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately input and update game level parameters, including environment details, objective placements, and NPC spawn points.
  • Enter and maintain character data, including base stats, skill trees, item equipability, and cosmetic variations.
  • Verify the integrity of existing game data against design documentation and in-game observations.
  • Identify and report discrepancies or errors in data, collaborating with design and development teams for resolution.
  • Assist in organizing and categorizing game assets and metadata within internal databases.
  • Follow strict data entry protocols and guidelines to ensure consistency and quality.
  • Participate in testing game builds to validate data implementation and functionality.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of data management processes and tools.

Required Skills

  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in data entry and database management.
  • Strong knowledge of video games, particularly RPGs, action-adventure, or similar genres with complex character and level systems.
  • Competency with Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets for data organization and manipulation.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in data entry, preferably within the gaming or entertainment industry.
  • Familiarity with game development tools or content management systems (CMS).
  • Basic understanding of game design principles and terminology.
  • Experience with bug tracking software (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla).
