Job Description
This role offers an exceptional opportunity for a motivated Owner Operator with a CDL-A to partner with XPO Logistics. Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate and maintain your own Class A commercial vehicle.
- Timely and efficient delivery of freight across designated routes.
- Comply with all DOT regulations, federal, state, and local laws.
- Manage HOS (Hours of Service) effectively to ensure compliance and maximize efficiency.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, documenting any issues.
- Maintain clear and professional communication with dispatch, customers, and support staff.
- Manage all aspects of your trucking business, including accounting, maintenance scheduling, and insurance.
Required Skills
- Valid Class A CDL.
- Minimum of 3 years (36 months) verifiable OTR (Over-The-Road) tractor-trailer experience.
- Clean MVR (Motor Vehicle Record) and PSP (Pre-Employment Screening Program) report.
- Proof of ownership and successful operation of a DOT-compliant tractor.
- Strong understanding of federal and state transportation regulations.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to pass a DOT physical and drug screen.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with specific freight types (e.g., dry van, refrigerated).
- Strong business acumen and entrepreneurial mindset.
- Familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELDs) and transportation management software.
- Proven track record of safe driving and on-time deliveries.
