Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Clinical Psychologist to join our dynamic mental health team in Swift Current, Saskatchewan. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive psychological services, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and consultation, to individuals, groups, and families within our community. Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and evaluations to diagnose mental health conditions and formulate treatment plans.
  • Provide evidence-based psychotherapy and counseling to individuals, families, and groups across various age ranges.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, monitoring patient progress and adjusting interventions as needed.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, social workers, and nurses, to ensure integrated patient care.
  • Participate in case conferences, clinical meetings, and professional development activities.
  • Provide consultation and support to other healthcare providers and community agencies regarding psychological issues.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical records in accordance with professional and organizational standards.
  • Contribute to program development and evaluation initiatives within mental health services.
  • Adhere to ethical guidelines and professional standards set by the Saskatchewan College of Psychologists.

Required Skills

  • Doctoral degree (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) in Clinical Psychology from an accredited university program.
  • Eligibility for registration with the Saskatchewan College of Psychologists (or equivalent provincial regulatory body, with an intent to register).
  • Proven experience in conducting psychological assessments, diagnosis, and treatment for a diverse range of mental health conditions.
  • Strong knowledge of evidence-based psychological interventions and therapeutic modalities.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and team collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and adherence to ethical guidelines.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience working in a public health authority or hospital setting.
  • Experience with specific populations such as children/adolescents, geriatrics, or individuals with severe mental illness.
  • Proficiency in a second language relevant to the local population.
  • Experience with tele-psychology or virtual care delivery models.
