Job Description

Agilent Technologies is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Laboratory Aide to join our team in Boulder, CO. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for individuals passionate about science and looking to start a career in a dynamic laboratory environment. You will be instrumental in supporting our research and development efforts, ensuring the smooth operation of our lab facilities. No prior lab experience is required, as comprehensive training will be provided. We value a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform general laboratory maintenance, including cleaning glassware, equipment, and workstations.
  • Prepare and sterilize laboratory supplies and media.
  • Stock and organize laboratory supplies and reagents, ensuring proper inventory levels.
  • Assist scientists and researchers with basic experimental setups and sample preparation as directed.
  • Maintain accurate records of laboratory activities and inventory.
  • Dispose of laboratory waste according to safety protocols and environmental regulations.
  • Operate and maintain basic laboratory equipment under supervision.
  • Follow all safety guidelines and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.

Required Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to follow instructions precisely and meticulously.
  • Basic computer proficiency (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Willingness to learn new techniques and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 25 lbs occasionally.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a science-related field (e.g., Biology, Chemistry, Life Sciences).
  • Previous experience in a laboratory setting (academic or professional) is a plus, but not required.
  • Familiarity with laboratory safety protocols.
