Job Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic and reliable RV Park Assistant to join our team for the summer season at our Burnaby location. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working outdoors, interacting with people, and contributing to a positive guest experience. You will be instrumental in the day-to-day operations of the park, ensuring our guests have a comfortable and enjoyable stay. This is a fantastic opportunity for students or anyone looking for a dynamic summer role with a great team atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet guests upon arrival and assist with check-ins and check-outs, including processing payments and providing park information.
- Guide guests to their RV sites and assist with basic setup questions.
- Answer guest inquiries, provide local recommendations, and address any concerns or issues promptly and professionally.
- Perform light grounds maintenance, including litter removal, raking, and ensuring common areas are clean and tidy.
- Monitor park facilities, ensuring restrooms, showers, and laundry rooms are clean and well-stocked.
- Assist with basic office tasks, such as answering phones, responding to emails, and maintaining reservation records.
- Support park events and activities, helping with setup and guest participation.
- Operate park vehicles or equipment as needed (e.g., golf carts for guest transport).
- Adhere to all park safety procedures and protocols.
Required Skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Basic computer proficiency for reservations and email.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including walking, standing, bending, and lifting up to 25 lbs.
- Must be available to work weekends and holidays.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in hospitality, customer service, or outdoor recreation.
- Familiarity with RVs or camping.
- First Aid certification.
- Valid Class 5 driver's license (or equivalent).
