Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and physically capable Medical Equipment Delivery & Setup Driver to join our team in Cambridge, MA. This role is crucial for ensuring the timely and safe delivery, setup, and removal of essential medical equipment, primarily hospital beds, to various healthcare facilities and residential settings. You will be the face of Medline, providing professional service and ensuring equipment is installed correctly and safely.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely operate company vehicles (vans, trucks) to transport medical equipment to customer locations.
  • Load and unload heavy medical equipment, including hospital beds, ensuring secure transit.
  • Deliver, assemble, and set up medical equipment in patient rooms, homes, or facilities according's to specifications.
  • Provide basic instruction to customers on the proper use and care of installed equipment.
  • Perform minor troubleshooting and repairs on site as needed.
  • Maintain accurate delivery logs, equipment manifests, and service records.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations, company policies, and traffic laws.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and equipment.
  • Ensure the cleanliness and proper maintenance of assigned vehicle and equipment.
  • Collaborate with dispatch and customer service teams to optimize delivery routes and schedules.

Required Skills

  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull heavy equipment (up to 75 lbs) repeatedly throughout the day.
  • Strong physical stamina and endurance.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude for equipment setup and minor adjustments.
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and safety protocols.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Reliable and punctual.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in medical equipment delivery or a similar field.
  • Experience assembling and disassembling equipment.
  • Familiarity with local Cambridge/Boston area routes.
  • First Aid/CPR certification.
