Job Description

We are seeking dedicated and reliable individuals to become an integral part of our dynamic team in Kansas City, MO. As a Package Delivery Professional, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently delivering and picking up packages, ensuring timely service and customer satisfaction. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities
- Operate a company delivery vehicle safely and responsibly, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Deliver and pick up packages to and from residential and commercial customers on a scheduled route.
- Efficiently sort, load, and unload packages from the delivery vehicle.
- Obtain signatures and provide exceptional customer service during deliveries and pickups.
- Scan and log packages accurately using handheld devices.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle and report any maintenance issues.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment within the vehicle and at the delivery hub.
- Manage time effectively to meet delivery deadlines and service commitments.
- Navigate routes efficiently using GPS and mapping tools.
Required Skills
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record for at least 12 months.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull packages weighing up to 70 lbs independently.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Successful completion of a physical exam and drug screen.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in delivery driving or a similar role.
- Knowledge of Kansas City and surrounding areas.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Familiarity with handheld scanning devices and route optimization software.
