Job Description
Are you 15 years old, energetic, and love interacting with children and teens? Disneyland Resort is seeking enthusiastic and responsible individuals to join our team as a Playground Host. This entry-level position is perfect for those looking to start their career in entertainment and hospitality, providing a safe and fun environment for our younger guests in our themed play areas. You will be instrumental in ensuring an enjoyable experience for children, overseeing activities, and maintaining the cleanliness and safety of the playground facilities. Key Responsibilities
- Supervise children and teens in designated playground areas to ensure their safety and adherence to rules.
- Organize and lead engaging activities and games for children, promoting a fun and interactive environment.
- Monitor equipment for safety and report any maintenance needs or hazards promptly.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the playground facilities throughout operating hours.
- Interact positively with guests, answer questions, and provide assistance as needed.
- Enforce park rules and regulations with a friendly and respectful demeanor.
- Provide basic first aid when necessary and call for medical assistance for serious incidents.
Required Skills
- Must be 15 years old at the time of application.
- Enthusiastic and outgoing personality with a genuine love for working with children.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent observational skills and attention to detail for safety.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 20 lbs for extended periods.
- Reliable and punctual.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in childcare, camp counseling, or youth programs (even informal, e.g., babysitting).
- Basic knowledge of first aid and CPR certification (training will be provided if not).
- Bilingual skills (e.g., Spanish, Mandarin, Japanese) are a plus.
