Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately pick customer orders using handheld scanners and other equipment.
  • Transport products to various designated areas within the distribution centre.
  • Inspect products for damage or defects and report any issues to supervisors.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols and company guidelines.
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve daily productivity and accuracy goals.
  • Operate equipment such as pallet jacks or forklifts (after proper certification and training, if applicable).
  • Participate in regular inventory counts and quality control checks as needed.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures related to product handling and safety.

Required Skills

  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 49 lbs, standing, walking, bending, and reaching for extended periods.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order picking and processing.
  • Basic English communication skills (reading, writing, and speaking) for understanding instructions and safety warnings.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential for maintaining operational efficiency.
  • No prior experience required; full, comprehensive training will be provided.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution centre setting is an asset, but not mandatory.
  • Familiarity with inventory management systems or handheld scanners.
  • Experience operating warehouse equipment (e.g., manual pallet jacks).
