Key Responsibilities
- Accurately pick customer orders using handheld scanners and other equipment.
- Transport products to various designated areas within the distribution centre.
- Inspect products for damage or defects and report any issues to supervisors.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols and company guidelines.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily productivity and accuracy goals.
- Operate equipment such as pallet jacks or forklifts (after proper certification and training, if applicable).
- Participate in regular inventory counts and quality control checks as needed.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures related to product handling and safety.
Required Skills
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 49 lbs, standing, walking, bending, and reaching for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order picking and processing.
- Basic English communication skills (reading, writing, and speaking) for understanding instructions and safety warnings.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential for maintaining operational efficiency.
- No prior experience required; full, comprehensive training will be provided.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution centre setting is an asset, but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems or handheld scanners.
- Experience operating warehouse equipment (e.g., manual pallet jacks).
