Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our team in Ventura, CA. This is an immediate opening with a generous $2,000 sign-on bonus for qualified candidates. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a crucial role in supporting our pharmacists and ensuring the efficient and accurate dispensing of medications to our patients. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including processing prescriptions, managing inventory, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining a clean and organized pharmacy environment. Key Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing prescription medications.
- Process patient prescriptions accurately and efficiently, including data entry and insurance claims.
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients, addressing inquiries and concerns with professionalism.
- Manage pharmacy inventory, including ordering, receiving, stocking, and rotating medications.
- Maintain patient records and ensure compliance with all privacy regulations (HIPAA).
- Operate pharmacy systems and equipment, including point-of-sale (POS) terminals.
- Answer incoming calls and direct them to the appropriate personnel.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe pharmacy environment.
- Adhere to all federal, state, and local pharmacy laws and regulations.
Required Skills
- High School Diploma or GED
- Current Pharmacy Technician License or Certification in California (or ability to obtain prior to employment)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Basic computer proficiency and experience with pharmacy software
Preferred Qualifications
- 6+ months of experience as a Pharmacy Technician in a retail or hospital setting
- Experience with pharmacy inventory management systems
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills are a plus
