Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Health Economics & Outcomes Research (HEOR) Intern to join our dynamic team in Cleveland, Ohio. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the pharmaceutical industry, specifically within the HEOR function. The intern will support HEOR research projects, assist with data analysis, literature reviews, and contribute to the development of value evidence for our innovative therapies. This role is ideal for students pursuing a master’s or Ph.D. in health economics, public health, epidemiology, biostatistics, or a related field who are eager to apply their academic knowledge in a real-world setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in conducting comprehensive literature reviews to identify relevant health economic and clinical outcomes data.
  • Support the design and execution of real-world evidence (RWE) studies, including database analyses.
  • Contribute to the development of health economic models (e.g., cost-effectiveness, budget impact models).
  • Prepare summaries of HEOR findings for internal stakeholders and potential external dissemination.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to strategic discussions.
  • Help with data extraction, cleaning, and preliminary analysis for HEOR projects.
  • Learn about pharmaceutical drug development and the role of HEOR in market access and commercialization.

Required Skills

  • Currently enrolled in a Master's or Ph.D. program in Health Economics, Public Health, Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Pharmacy Administration, or a related quantitative field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with statistical software (e.g., R, SAS, STATA) is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior coursework or experience in health economics, outcomes research, or pharmacoeconomics.
  • Experience with systematic literature reviews or meta-analysis.
  • Basic understanding of health economic modeling principles.
  • Demonstrated ability to synthesize complex information into clear and concise summaries.
