Job Description
Join Right at Home as a Weekend Caregiver and make a significant difference in the lives of our clients in Wesley Chapel and surrounding areas. We are seeking compassionate, reliable, and dedicated individuals to provide essential in-home care on Saturdays and Sundays. This role offers premium rates for weekend shifts, recognizing your commitment to our clients when they need it most. You will assist with daily living activities, provide companionship, and ensure the safety and well-being of our senior clients, allowing them to maintain their independence and comfort at home.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and hygiene assistance.
- Assist clients with ambulation and transfers, ensuring their safety and comfort.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding as needed.
- Perform light housekeeping tasks, such as laundry, tidying common areas, and changing linens.
- Provide medication reminders and monitor vital signs as directed.
- Engage clients in stimulating activities, conversation, and companionship.
- Accompany clients to appointments or outings, providing transportation if necessary.
- Document care provided and report any changes in the client's condition to the supervising nurse or office staff.
Required Skills
- Compassionate and patient demeanor.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to follow care plans and instructions accurately.
- Reliable transportation and valid driver's license.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Physical ability to assist clients with mobility and personal care.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience as a caregiver, CNA, or home health aide.
- CPR and First Aid certification.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Experience with dementia or Alzheimer's care.
