Job Description

BrightStar Care in Louisville, KY is seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals for an Entry-Level Live-in Carer position. No prior experience is required, as we provide full, comprehensive training to equip you with all the skills needed to excel. This unique opportunity includes comfortable accommodation within the client’s home, allowing you to provide consistent, personalized care while benefiting from a stable living arrangement. Key Responsibilities
- Provide 24/7 compassionate and attentive care to clients in their homes.
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding as needed.
- Perform light housekeeping duties, laundry, and maintain a tidy living environment.
- Provide medication reminders and assist with appointment scheduling.
- Engage clients in stimulating activities, conversation, and companionship.
- Run errands, assist with shopping, and accompany clients to appointments.
- Observe and report any changes in the client's condition to the supervising nurse.
- Maintain a safe and comfortable environment for the client.
- Adhere to BrightStar Care policies, procedures, and client care plans.

Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (helpful for errands, though not always essential for live-in role).
- CPR/First Aid certification (training can be provided).
- Previous experience caring for a family member or friend.
