Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Part-time Security Aide for weekend shifts in New Port Richey, FL. This is an entry-level position perfect for individuals looking to start a career in security, with no prior experience required. You will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients and their property. This role offers flexible weekend hours and a sign-on bonus for eligible candidates.
Key Responsibilities
- Patrol designated areas on foot or in a vehicle to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure security of doors, windows, and gates.
- Monitor surveillance equipment, inspect buildings, equipment, and access points.
- Respond to alarms and emergency situations according to company protocols.
- Provide excellent customer service to clients and visitors, answering inquiries and providing directions.
- Write reports of daily activities and irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.
- Enforce client policies and procedures to ensure a safe and orderly environment.
- Assist in the investigation of incidents and provide support to law enforcement if needed.
Required Skills
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Ability to effectively communicate in English, both orally and in writing.
- Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods.
- Successful completion of a background check and drug screening.
- Valid driver's license (preferred, but not always required depending on site).
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous customer service experience.
- First Aid/CPR certification.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving abilities.
