Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert advice and product recommendations to customers regarding cabinet handles, pulls, knobs, and hinges.
- Assist customers in selecting hardware that matches their style preferences, budget, and functional requirements.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked hardware department, ensuring products are clearly priced and displayed.
- Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently, including special orders for unique hardware items.
- Stay up-to-date on new product trends, materials, and installation techniques for cabinet hardware.
- Address customer inquiries and resolve issues professionally, escalating complex situations when necessary.
- Collaborate with other store associates to ensure a seamless customer experience across departments.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance product knowledge and sales skills.
Required Skills
- Minimum 2 years of experience in retail sales or customer service, preferably within home improvement or hardware.
- Demonstrated strong knowledge of various types of cabinet handles, pulls, knobs, and hinges.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with customers.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a customer-centric approach.
- Proficiency in basic computer systems for sales processing and inventory lookup.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, lift, and carry merchandise as required (up to 25 lbs).
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in kitchen design, cabinetry, or interior design.
- Familiarity with various cabinet construction methods and hardware installation.
- Knowledge of current design trends in kitchen and bath aesthetics.
