Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Inventory Hand to join our dynamic team in Torrance, CA. In this role, you will be responsible for the accurate and efficient handling of parts and materials within our warehouse and distribution center. This is a crucial position that contributes to the smooth operation of our supply chain, ensuring that inventory is received, stored, and distributed correctly. Key Responsibilities
- Receive, unload, and process incoming shipments of materials and parts.
- Accurately sort, label, and store inventory in designated warehouse locations.
- Pick and pack orders according to specifications, ensuring accuracy and quality.
- Conduct regular inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies.
- Operate various material handling equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, forklifts, if certified and trained) safely and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to optimize workflow and resolve inventory-related issues.
- Prepare outgoing shipments for delivery, including documentation and loading.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) frequently.
- Basic mathematical skills for counting and inventory reconciliation.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or inventory management role.
- Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems (WMS).
- Basic computer proficiency.
