We are seeking a highly motivated and physically capable Orthopedic Unit Porter to join our dedicated team at Royal United Hospitals Bath. This is a crucial role supporting the smooth operation of our Orthopedic Unit, ensuring patients, equipment, and vital supplies are moved efficiently and safely. Key Responsibilities

• Safely transport patients, including those with orthopedic conditions, between wards, departments, and therapy areas using wheelchairs, trolleys, and beds.
• Assist with the movement of medical equipment, supplies, specimens, and patient notes throughout the orthopedic unit and wider hospital.
• Provide empathetic support and clear communication to patients during transport, ensuring their comfort and dignity.
• Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of transport equipment and areas, adhering to strict infection control protocols.
• Respond promptly to requests from medical and nursing staff, prioritizing tasks effectively to meet urgent needs.
• Handle confidential patient information with discretion and in accordance with data protection guidelines.
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations and trust policies, particularly regarding manual handling and patient safety.
• Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless patient flow and operational efficiency.
