Job Description
Are you a meticulous and dedicated individual who thrives in a nocturnal environment? Aramark is seeking a motivated Commercial Kitchen Deep Cleaner to join our night shift team in Scranton, PA. This role offers premium pay for individuals committed to maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation in our commercial kitchen facilities. You will play a crucial part in ensuring a safe, hygienic, and compliant environment for food preparation, contributing directly to our operational excellence and the health of our customers. This is an on-site, full-time position requiring physical stamina and a keen eye for detail.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive deep cleaning of all kitchen areas, including floors, walls, ceilings, ventilation systems, and hard-to-reach spaces.
- Sanitize and disinfect food preparation surfaces, cooking equipment (ovens, grills, fryers, stoves), refrigeration units, and storage areas.
- Operate and maintain a variety of cleaning equipment, such as floor scrubbers, power washers, and steam cleaners.
- Properly use and store cleaning chemicals in accordance with safety data sheets (SDS) and company protocols.
- Remove trash and dispose of waste materials following environmental guidelines.
- Inspect kitchen areas for cleanliness and identify any areas requiring additional attention.
- Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and sanitation regulations and company policies.
- Report any maintenance issues, equipment malfunctions, or safety hazards to supervisors.
- Work independently and efficiently to complete assigned tasks within specified timeframes during the night shift.
Required Skills
- Proven ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, bending, standing, and reaching for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to achieving high standards of cleanliness.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Basic understanding of cleaning techniques and proper use of cleaning agents.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic for night shift operations.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience (6-12 months) in commercial kitchen cleaning, industrial cleaning, or a similar heavy-duty cleaning role.
- Familiarity with various cleaning equipment (e.g., floor buffers, pressure washers).
- Knowledge of HACCP or other food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
