Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Remote Data Manager – Technical Admin Hybrid Role to join our dynamic team. This pivotal role combines robust data management expertise with essential technical administration duties, ensuring the integrity, security, and accessibility of critical data assets. You will be instrumental in developing and implementing data strategies, managing database systems, and providing technical support for various data-centric platforms. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive data management strategies and policies.
  • Oversee the entire data lifecycle, including data acquisition, validation, storage, processing, and disposal.
  • Administer and optimize various database systems (e.g., SQL Server, Azure SQL, PostgreSQL), ensuring performance, reliability, and security.
  • Monitor data quality, identify discrepancies, and implement solutions for data cleansing and enrichment.
  • Manage user access and permissions to data systems, adhering to security best practices and compliance regulations.
  • Automate data workflows, reporting, and routine administrative tasks using scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell).
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for data-related issues, collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Ensure data backup, recovery, and disaster preparedness procedures are robust and regularly tested.
  • Document data processes, system configurations, and standard operating procedures.
  • Collaborate with data architects, developers, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver effective solutions.
  • Stay current with emerging data management technologies and industry best practices.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in data management, database administration, or a similar technical role.
  • Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational database management systems (e.g., SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL).
  • Strong understanding of data governance, data quality, and data security principles.
  • Experience with scripting languages for automation (e.g., Python, PowerShell).
  • Familiarity with cloud data platforms (e.g., Azure Data Services, AWS RDS, Google Cloud SQL).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a remote environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
