Job Description

We are actively seeking dedicated and energetic individuals to join our team as Parcel Sorters. This is a fast-paced, physically demanding role with an immediate opening, perfect for those who thrive in a dynamic environment and are looking for a stable, full-time position. As a key member of our operations, you will be responsible for efficiently sorting a high volume of parcels, ensuring they reach their correct destinations on time. Full training will be provided, making this an excellent opportunity for reliable candidates who are ready to hit the ground running.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manually sort parcels by destination code and size into designated cages or areas.
  • Load and unload parcels from vehicles and conveyor belts.
  • Operate scanning equipment to accurately track parcel movements.
  • Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure smooth workflow and meet daily targets.
  • Identify and report any damaged or misrouted parcels.
  • Work efficiently and accurately in a time-sensitive environment to meet dispatch deadlines.

Required Skills

  • Ability to lift and move parcels up to 20kg repeatedly throughout a shift.
  • Excellent attention to detail for accurate parcel sorting and scanning.
  • Strong work ethic and reliability.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends.
  • Proactive and able to maintain performance in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or postal environment is a plus, but not essential.
  • Familiarity with manual handling techniques.
  • Basic understanding of health and safety procedures in a warehouse setting.
